I Do Nutrition
Jessica Sylvester, MS, RD, LDN, founder of I Do Nutrition, is a registered and licensed dietitian with over a decade of nutrition experience. She earned her first Bachelor's degree at Tufts University in both Psychology and Community Health, and a second Bachelor's degree from Florida International University in Nutrition and Dietetics. Her academic pursuit continued with a Master's degree from Tufts University Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy.
Jessica has had the privilege of working in both clinical/hospital settings as well as in private practices. She has experience with multiple health conditions including, but not limited to, diabetes, renal disease, HIV/AIDS, gastrointestinal disorders, eating disorders, tube feedings, trauma, childhood obesity, and bariatric surgery. She also spent years as a nutrition researcher, studying the effects of different supplements and implementation of BMI measurements in school children, as well as co-authoring papers on both protein consumption and the lasting effects of maternal health during pregnancy on infants. Her research was conducted with private research groups as well as the USDA and the Massachusetts Department of Health.
Jessica is also an active member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, serving on two separate national and state-wide committees in order to improve national access to nutrition counseling and dietetic practice. She is a wife and mother, and loves each of her roles, both professionally and personally.
